University of Johannesburg playwriting course

As a playwright who has not been formally trained, I am generally reluctant to engage in workshops or courses where I have to train or advise others about 'how to write a play'.  However, I allowed myself to be convinced to participate in UJ's course for playwrights, provided that I spoke generally about the way in which I work and what has come to work for me, both as a writer and as a producer.  It was a most enjoyable session and I look forward to the works that will emerge from UJ's writing programme, of which there are far too few!
