Under Pressure produced by the Windybrow Theatre

A Swedish company commissioned me to write a play on the theme of climate change that would complement - and in fact, connect with - their play in real time.  Thus was Under Pressure created, a two-person satirical take on climate change in Africa but which embraced a range of other themes such as LGBQTI rights, Afrophobia and European patronising attitudes to Africa.  There were many technical challenges in linking the two plays but when it worked, the project was well-received by audiences.  Under Pressure had seven performances after it premiered on 10 October and may now have a life of its own outside of its Swedish links.
