The Good White opens at the Market Theatre

After the shows of My Fellow South Africans at the Playhouse, I headed to Joburg for the opening weekend of The Good White.  I attended a preview on the Saturday as well as the opening on Sunday afternoon 11 May.  What an audience!  To watch the show with a Joburg - especially Market Theatre - audience is something to experience.  There they were, cheering a character at some point and then jeering them, not sure who to side with, but participating as if they were part of the show!  It was wonderful!  And the responses afterwards were so encouraging!  The excellent cast did great justice to the piece and the set, soundscape and lighting showed how the different elements of theatre can add immense texture to a work!
