STAND Together Arts Summit brings organisations together

A number of arts advocacy organisations came into being during the pandemic. An Arts Summit in Stellenbosch brought them together for the first time.

STAND Foundation, in association with the Toyota US Woordfees and the National Afrikaans Theatre Initiative (NATI) hosted the STAND Together Arts Summit in Stellenbosch from 20-22 September.  The Summit brough together leaders of arts organisations, many of which had come into existence during the COVID-19 lockdowns reflecting the needs of artists to have organisations work on their behalf during this period.  The more than 50 delegates debated and adopted 6 resolutions which are currently being implemented with STAND Foundation serving as the Secretariat.
