STAND Foundation Summer School

I coordinate the Sustaining Theatre and Dance (STAND) Foundation which a few of us initiated as a means to support the contemporary dance and theatre sector in South Africa.  With COVID-19 having decimated the sector, STAND offered a summer school of 16 short courses in which those who make their livelihoods within the sector could upskill themselves.  There were practical courses on movement theatre but most courses were conducted online and include opportunities to learn about copyright, marketing, fundraising, making theatre for social media and the like.  My job was to manage the Summer School, after which I looked forward to a bit of a holiday!
