So Over The Rainbow starts rehearsals

During my two-weeks lecturing in the Drama Department of the University of Free State, I started rehearsing a new solo multi-sketch work - So Over the Rainbow - with the extremely talented Rondo Mpiti-Spies, a part-time lecturer in the Drama Department.  With her then colleague, Sikhutali Oliver Bonga, she featured in a production of my two-hander, Return of the Ancestors.  She was most impressive in that, and I thought that this multi-sketch work will give her a platform to introduce herself nationally.  She is working under the direction of Dion van Niekerk and I'm hopeful that we will see the first staging of this piece in the last week of April to coincide with Freedom Day.
