After twenty months of no travel, it was good to be in Berlin!

In 2016/17, I had the honour of spending a total of 6 months in Berlin as a fellow of the Robert Bosch Academy.  Each year, the Academy generously gathers its fellows - current and past - for a four-day study tour focusing on a contemporary theme in German politics that has relevance for the world.  Having last travelled abroad in January 2020 due to COVID-19 restrictions, it was a huge pleasure to be back in Berlin, one of my favourite cities, to learn, and to network again with friends from around the world.
