Open Book Festival

I participated in a panel discussion at the Open Book Festival on Friday 6 Sept.

Literary festivals don't usually invite theatre-makers, even playwrights, to be part of their festivals.  The hierarchy of participants would appear to be novelists, followed by blockbuster non-fiction writers, politicians who wrote about anything, then biographers, short story writers, literary critics and academics, poets, newspaper columnists, writers of do-it-yourself manuals, horoscope writers and then playwrights.  So it was a good surprise to be invited to participate in a panel on the state of theatre, along with Quanita Adams and Ameera Conrad at the Open Book Festival.
