On the Move in Tunis

I was invited to participate in a panel as part of a workshop on the mobility of artists, particularly from Africa and the South West Asia North Africa (SWANA) region.  In the context of the apparent desire to mitigate climate change by reducing international travel, this workshop was held to explore this theme.  I and others made it abundantly clear that it would be utterly iniquitous to reduce travel by African artists to address climate change when Africa has accounted for less than 0,1% of the carbon emissions that have resulted in the catastrophic changes in our climate!
