Molteno Gold Award
Having been honoured with a Silver award a few years ago, I was given the Molteno Gold award on 23 November.
Robin Malan whom I first 'encountered' as the editor of INSCAPES, the poetry book which we studied at school, started Junkets Publishers that published four of my plays. He also serves on the Board of the Kulula Foundation that honours recipients with the Molteno Award from time to time. He composed and read the flattering citation at a ceremony held on 23 November in Newlands where Fred Abrahamse and I were each awarded the Molteno Gold Award in honour of our respective contributions to theatre and the arts generally.
