Masque Theatre foyer hosts Abraham's Promises

The Masque Theatre in Muizenburg - or rather its foyer - played host to a reading of Abraham's Promises on 18 February with 'ordinary' - as opposed to actors - engaged in the reading.  While the initial provocation for the panel discussion is 'are Jews safer today than they were on 6 October 2023?' the discussion soon broadens to many related themes.  The sold-out audience listened raptly and the discussion afterwards had moments of intensity, with much of the feedback being from people who said how much they had learned.  Abraham's Promises showed again its value as a means of education and as a catalyst for discussion.  It will next be done on 9 March at 6 Spin Street.
