Kim Blanche Adonis shares stage with Jonathan Butler

A new tourism initiative under the banner 'Down Klipfontein Road' was launched on Saturday 29 March at Athlone High School.  Designed to spread the benefits of tourism more broadly and to showcase the talent of the Cape Flats, the launch event featured international jazz star, Jonathan Butler who was raised a few hundred metres from the school, as well as various other poets and musicians.  We were invited to perform a sketch from My Fellow South Africans and Kim's performance of Romeo and Juliet with Romeo played by Sandile from Pinelands and Laetitia from Manenberg playing Juliet, resonated superbly with the audience.
