Beyond Useful Idiocy: Towards Being Real Agents of Change was the deliberately provocative title of my keynote address delivered at the tenth anniversary event, Synergise, of the NRW International Visitors Exchange Programme.  It took place in Dusseldorf on 12 November 2019.
