Ibsen in China

Ibsen International had prepared a festival of the eight plays produced as part of its New Texts-New Stages the year before in China, but cancelled the Festival after some of our plays were denied performance permits.  This time, they invited When Swallows Cry to be presented at the University of Nanjing as part of an international conference on migration.  Some of the other works presented were from Norway, China and Russia.
