Home, Hope and Humour Festival

I produced my first festival featuring my own plays at the Avalon Theatre from 8-14 August.

The Avalon Theatre - the upstairs space at the former Fugard Theatre - played host to three of my one-person plays and a short film based on another of my plays under the banner of the Home, Hope and Humour Festival from 8-14 August.  Khutjo Green directed by Fiona Ramsay performed Country Duty; The New Abnormal featured Marty Kintu, directed by Rob van Vuuren and Daniel Richards directed Kim Adonis in He Had It Coming.  The fourth component of the Festival was the short film Some Mothers' Sons based on another of my plays.  The main purpose of the Festival was to provide a platform for three new works and for this to serve the actors as a means of ongoing income.
