Excerpt of Samaritan read

An annual event in which those associated with the Christian Institute remember past activists and plant olive trees in their memories, was hosted at the Goedgedacht Trust.  The year before, I was invited to read some poetry and this year, with the links to Gaza made explicit in the programming, I was invited to read an excerpt of Samaritan, a new piece that I am developing and aimed at Christian Zionists in particular to challenge their - heretical - support for the state of Israel.  The piece is based on the biblical story of the Good Samaritan, except that in this case, it is Gaza that is battered, robbed and left for dead with many simply walking by on the other side.
