Daniel Richards performs at the launch of The New Humanitarian in Geneva
On Human Rights Day, Daniel Richards and I were in Geneva to present excerpts of Human Frights.
IRIN News, a news agency formerly associated with the United Nations and based in Geneva, was relaunched as The New Humanitarian on 21 March (Human Rights Day in South Africa). IRIN's Director, Heba Aly, saw Daniel perform at the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute conference in May last year, and invited us to stage a short play as part the launch. Daniel Mpilo Richards, currently based in London, performed a series of sketches adapted from Human Frights, a revue we presented during the Geneva Peace Week in November 2018. The performance and content went down really well with the audience.
