Creative Storytelling workshop in Maputo

The Open Society Foundation invited me to facilitate a workshop on creative storytelling in Mozambique from 15 to 17 August

In November 2018 and January 2019, I facilitated a Creative Storytelling Workshop for investigative journalists and creatives in South Africa, with the aim to have the journalists' stories on corruption reach wider audiences through theatre and other creative means.  There were at least four projects that emerged from this workshop that toured various non-formal venues in the build up to the May elections.  Now, in anticipation of the October elections in Mozambique, the Open Society Foundation of Southern Africa hosted a similar workshop in Maputo with 7 journalists and 9 creatives in attendance.  It will be interesting to see what work emerges out of the workshop which included rappers, theatre-makers and podcasters!
