Community Arts Indaba in Joburg

In a previous life, I coordinated the launch of the Western Cape Community Arts Centre Network and the first Community Arts Indaba for the province.  This January, a national Community Arts Indaba was hosted at the Market Theatre with nine representatives from each of the nine provinces.  I was invited to make a presentation on defining community arts and community arts centres and located this within the budget of the Department of Sports, Arts and Culture.  It was an enjoyable networking session though I was reminded why I had left off doing this kind of work...
