Community Arts Indaba

One of the projects of the STAND Foundation which I manage, is the community arts centres development programme in the Western Cape, funded by the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture.  At the previous Indaba, we launched the Community Arts Centres Network of the Western Cape (CACNET).  This two-day event allowed for reflection on the state of community arts centres in the province and for delegates to be introduced to the various toolkits that STAND had developed with ASSITEJ.  It was also an opportunity for graduates from the inaugural community arts managers course done in association with the University of Stellenbosch to receive letters confirming their graduation from the course.
