Cape Town TV Soapie

On Saturday 14 November, I was invited to propose a soap opera set on the Cape Flats for Cape Town TV at a workshop to consider such a soapie.  About 16 participants representing a wide array of interests attended the workshop to brainstorm themes and settings for the soapie.  My proposal - Rainbow Blues - was thoroughly dissected and new ideas emerged which will be carried forward over the next few weeks.  The idea for a CTV soapie has been floated for about ten years, and now it eventually seems to be gaining traction.
