Atelier on Social Cohesion
An academy to interrogate the social role of festivals
From 15-17 December, I facilitated an online Atelier for Festival Managers on the theme of social cohesion: the roles that Festivals play, are expected to play or should play beyond celebrating the arts. There is much pressure on festivals to more than arts hypermarkets, and this 3 day online programme raised the various ways in which festivals could have broader social impact.
