Alex Arts Summit
Gauteng Department of Sport, Recreation and Culture hosts a summit in Alexandra
I was invited to give a talk at the arts summit hosted in Alexandra which has been much in the news recently regarding the terrible conditions under which most citizens in the township continue to live, 25 years into our democracy. Alexandra was the focus for the department as the first township to have such a summit, with a strong intention - at least as stated by government representatives - to change the conditions for the creatives in the area.
